The City of St. Augustine, working with the organizers of the Mumford and Sons Gentlemen of the Road Stopover, will offer a shuttle during the upcoming event on September 13-14. Wristbands, permitting wearers to ride the shuttle, are now on sale online. The program is the first of its kind, and will serve both the event attendees and the community.
Parking in downtown St. Augustine during the event will be prohibitive as nearby neighborhoods will be restricted to residents only, and access to the few private parking areas will be extremely limited and/or unavailable. The shuttle will be the best transit option.
Wristbands for the shuttle program are now available at www.GOTRstaug.com and then following the Transit link at a specially discounted price of $22.50 through September 4. Beginning September 5 wristbands will be $30. Wristband includes unlimited rides on all shuttle routes and two days free parking at the event’s satellite parking location. Wristbands are valid for both Friday and Saturday; single-day wristbands are not available. Children five and younger ride free if accompanied by a ticketed parent or guardian. A Gentlemen of the Road St. Augustine Stopover event ticket is not required to purchase a shuttle wristband.
Shuttle routes will link historic downtown St. Augustine and Francis Field, the site of the event, to the satellite parking location at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport as well as service to the areas of Hwy A1A S. to Crescent Beach, Vilano Beach, the I-95/SR-16 interchange, and the World Golf Village. Its continuous looped routes will allow riders to travel into the city, to the beach, and visit attractions outside walking distance from downtown.
The shuttle will travel its complete routes during its operating schedule from 10:00am on Friday and Saturday, September 13 and 14 until 3:00am the following morning, with continuous drop off and pick up at designated locations. This will offer a safe return option for shuttle riders and the opportunity to further explore the area after the event ends at 11:00pm.
As an added benefit, the wristband grants the wearer access to Shuttle Perks, a vast array of discounts being offered by local retailers, restaurants and attractions to showcase all that St. Augustine has to offer.
