National week of recognition salutes “It Starts Here”

“It Starts Here” is the 2019 National Public Works Week theme, which illustrates the many facets of public works and its impact on how we live our daily lives. Everything from infrastructure, growth, and innovation to mobility, security, and the overall health of our community, starts with public works.

The City of St. Augustine and its Public Works Department encourages the public to celebrate the dedication and deep commitment of our Public Works employees, not just next week, but every day when you walk down the street, set out your trash and recycling, flush a toilet or turn a faucet.

Help the city showcase its workforce and snap a photo with your favorite Public Works workers when you see them around town and in your neighborhood.  Then share it on social at any of the City’s pages, @citystaug (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), and use the hashtags #CityStAugPublicWorks, #NPWW, and #ItStartsHere.  What better way to say “Thank You” than to snap a photo and share it with the public.
