National Environmental Education Week offers additional reminders
In observance of Earth Day 2018 and in conjunction with its focus on diverting recyclable items away from the landfill, the City of St. Augustine Public Works Department is coordinating a one-day community recycle and education event on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. This free event for residents takes place as a drive through service, on the north side of Francis Field, 25 West Castillo Drive from 7:30 am until 2:30 pm. View/download the event flyer.
Participants are encouraged to drop off outdated and broken “E-waste” (electronic devices) such as computers, printers, laptops, and cell phones – see the complete list below of approved electronic devices to bring for recycling. This is also a time to properly dispose of used cooking oil, such as vegetable oil, peanut oil, canola oil, etc.
