Two opportunities set on April 11 and 12
National nonprofit organization Compass 82, which specializes in fast-tracking disaster recovery, is teaming up with leading structural moving and elevation company Ducky Johnson Home Elevations (DJHE) to host disaster recovery and flood mitigation – elevation educational workshops for hurricane impacted Floridian homeowners in an effort to expedite the sustainable rebuilding and restoration of ravaged communities.
Each workshop will shed light on post-disaster mental and emotional distress and provide critical tips, strategies, protocols, and guidelines for rebuilding and restoring homes, including applying for state and federal grants and how to elevate concrete block homes.
St. Augustine homeowners are invited and encouraged to attend one of two St. Augustine workshops: Wednesday, April 11, 6:00pm at the Willie Galimore Recreation Center, 399 Riberia St., and on Thursday, April 12. 6:00pm at the Southeast Branch of the St. John’s County Public Library, 6670 US-1 South.
