|Solid Waste provides once-a-week service for
residential collection of garbage, yard waste and recycling.
Residents are encouraged to use the City-provided 65 gallon carts for household garbage and wet waste. Residents may also purchase and utilize their own cans for curbside service. One 65 gallon brown cart is provided per each single family home. These are only for residential household trash, not to be used for yard waste or construction debris.
Carts may be placed curbside after 7PM the day before service, but before 7AM the day of service and must be removed by 7PM the day service is rendered.
The city promotes and offers a "single-stream" recycling program, which enables the user to co-mingle multiple items such as flattened cardboard, all paper, milk & juice cartons, plastic bottles & containers, glass bottles, tin, aluminum and steel cans, clean packaging Styrofoam, and egg cartons. Residents must empty and rinse containers prior to service, to eliminate contamination. One 65 gallon green cart is provided per each single family home. These are only for household recyclables, not to be used for yard trash or construction debris. Carts may be placed curbside after 7PM the day before service, but before 7AM the day of service and must be removed by 7PM the day service is rendered.

Wednesday is residential yard waste pick-up day, throughout the City. Yard waste must be contained and placed at the curb on Wednesday by AM for pick-up. Limbs and brush under 4 yards may be placed curbside. Loose debris such as grass clippings and leaves must be in bags or containerized to not exceed 50 lbs and 32 gallons, each. For large yard waste disposal such as stumps, logs and limbs over 2” in diameter, 50 lbs per container or 4 yards of total debris, the homeowner is responsible for disposal. If a tree, lawn or landscaping service/company does the work, they must haul the debris or charges will apply.
